She was the 2010 United States Women’s Olympic Team Skip, World Champion in 2003, seven-time U.S. National Champion as well as a four-time U.S. junior champion and a 3-time medal winner at the World Juniors. Her husband Pete, an accomplished curler himself, will also be curling on her team.
* Para-Olympian, Pat McDonald from the 2010 USA Team. The 2010 US Paralympics Team took fourth in the Vancouver Games.
* Edith Loudon of Perth, Scotland, a member of the Scottish Olympic Team at the 1998 Nagano Olympics where she competed against McCormick, will be defending her former two time Crush Bonspiel championships. Loudon is a World Curling Federation Director representing the Royal Caledonian Curling Club (the oldest curling club in the world).
Opening Ceremonies will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2 and will include “piping the teams on to the ice” by the Scarlet Brigade Pipe Band from Fairfield High School.
